Some places do not let go easily. Commissioned by someone who had just left Hong Kong after many years, this work gathers around 90 used lai see envelopes into the shape of the city. Each one already carried a happy moment. Reborn into a new form, they become a way of keeping all those happy moments close, Hong Kong kept near.

Sometimes life gets so busy our minds feel like wild gardens. Full of beautiful birds of paradise and wild bushes, remembering the care of a gardener in the past but a little forgotten now. A reminder that even in the chaos of everyday life, the birds of paradise are still there. Still singing. Still worth noticing.

A ray of sunshine travelling through the universe. For our eye it seems to stay still, while invisibly it runs wild. Everything is a matter of perspective.
